M oldest turned 10 years old the day after his sisters 4th birthday. Every food episode that involves Ben has an undercurrent of being ruined by Ben. He shoves food down his face. I have to constantly remind him to slow down. He is always the first one to get done eating even tho he is eating slow.... slow for him that is. His rules for eating -- he repeats to me 1. eat slow 2. chew. 3. take little bites, 4. put IT down (whatever it is, between bites, (i.e. fork, sandwich) Today I made him stop eating and wait a bit. He was half done with his pizza while everyone else was on bite one or two. We had ice cream cake and I gave him a tiny slice. I didn't let him finish because he was twitching, and chattering, and licking his lips a million times a minute.
I have two foodies -- Kate acts just like Ben, I don't understand, but I have been told that often siblings of PWS kids absorb their behaviors. Kate is already obsessive compulsive and this last year she is a foodie..along with the FAS and obsesive thumb sucking
Sigh.........
